Hello, I am Mrs. Phillips, and I am looking forward to educating your scholar in the wonderful world of Mathematics. I love to learn new concepts and to teach in this content area. I view math as a foreign language that I can understand and interpret for others. I currently hold my South Carolina Teacher certification with Gifted and Talented, Read to Succeed,  and highly qualified endorsements through the South Carolina State Department of Education. I currently hold a Master's in Education (M.Ed.) for Learning and Technology along with my Bachelor of Science degree, both through Western Governors University with a focus in Middle School Mathematics, grades 5-9. Previously, I have received Associate of Science and Associate of Art degrees from Aiken Technical College in Graniteville, S.C.. I have been a resident of Williston, S.C. since April 2001 and have been working within the district since the 2005-06 academic school year. My husband and I have eight children that have received their education in the Williston-Elko School District and three of those have or are currently serving in the armed forces. Outside of the classroom, I dote on at least one of my eleven grand children with an additional one due in March 2023, or spending time with my husband of 21 years. I am looking forward to exciting times with your scholars, and you, as a team!
